Why we care for others An example: 80% of the world’s AIDS population is in Africa with 20% of the world’s population. More and more money is given to Africa, but the suffering grows ever worse, both through hunger and AIDS. The solution is not only money but the practical application of resources at the point of need and the motivation of the giver. As the developed world gets richer so the underdeveloped world gets poorer.
