An genuine alternative investment strategy.

Jeremy Blatch looks at how a new initiative seeks to provide investors with access to an independent qualified consultation process with integrity, whilst assisting the needy in society.

The recent past

During the last three years we have either, directly or indirectly witnessed or felt the financial pain associated with plunging equity markets.
Making money consistently has never been easy, but the last three years have dented the performance of even the most talented money managers. Money in the industrialised economies has never been cheaper, and with a culture of sign and spend rather than save and spend, we have amassed now critical levels of personal debt During these last years, the catalogue of corporate greed, fraud and regulatory malaise has left most investors shell shocked and with a lack of trust in advisors and corporate governance.

A platform for the future

So what to do. Well advice and corporate dealings with integrity would be a good start! An association of independent professional firms and banks with proven integrity in business dealings has been formed into an International Forum. This platform enables investors to access qualified advice of a diverse nature covering all aspects of the wider investment process. Gone are the days for the circumspect when one institution or individual, is able to deal with all the aspects of the investment process, although most would advertise they can and would want your mandate. The reality however is that only truly independent advice from a range of firms will give the investors the safety and security they need, particularly in the current climate of mistrust and suspicion.
This Forum also recognises the needs of the underprivileged individuals in society and the needs of those in the weakest countries in the world, Part of all fees received by the Forum will be donated to the International Charity REMAR.

What is Remar?

In 1982 in Vitoria (Spain) Juan Miguel Diez and his wife Mari Carmen decided to leave their personal occupations to answer a call of compassion for the underprivileged in society.<br />
That was how the work amongst the young drug addicts and alcoholics began. Going out into the streets in search for these people and then bringing them to their own home. Many of these young people after they have passed through the rehabilitation centers of REMAR want to help others with their many problems.
REMAR has grown spectacularly and now is working in over 56 countries worldwide, giving help to those most in need, creating social canteens (feeding stations), creating safe houses of love and warmth for the homeless and orphans, building hospitals, schools, distributing containers of material aid to the most needy areas of the world and running many other centres of warmth love and rehabilitation.
16,000 people receive meals every day in our social canteens that we provide worldwide and more then 9,000 are housed by REMAR, young and old, women with children, street people and those suffering with aids, people living on the margins of society.
