Christopher graduated from Keele University with a joint BA (Hons) in History and Geography and was commissioned into the British Army. After leaving the forces at 30, he managed various businesses in Gibraltar including a trust company, a self managed insurance firm and a Lloyds TSB Private Banking unit. He later became a founder member of an Insurance Manager and Fund Administrator. Having sold his main business interests in 2009, he now has an interest in Vista Fund Services Limited, which provides a fund administration and company secretarial service from Gibraltar. Christopher is also an executive board member of Insight Recruitment Solutions Limited, which is an insurance recruitment agency specialising in the London market. In addition, he holds other appointments outside the financial sector, including a regional portal called Andalucia.com.

TChristopher is a Chartered Manager and holds various financial benchmark qualifications (Cert CII, Cert PFS, and Stage 1 AIB). He is also the co author of a book on Southern Spain called "In Search of Andalucia.".
